What is VIES check

The VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) is the European Commission's official system for verifying business VAT numbers within the EU. Each member state maintains its own national registry, and VIES acts as a unified gateway across them.

When you run a check here, the request is forwarded directly to the EU's official API. We do not store personal user data and no registration is required.
