Who is obliged to perform due diligence?
Law 4557/2018 defines as obliged persons accountants and tax advisors, lawyers and notaries, real estate agents, insurance intermediaries, gambling companies and anyone who trades goods in cash above 10,000 euros. The obligation applies before the business relationship starts and at every material change.
What exactly does BizList check with a VAT number?
Identity and status of the company in GEMI, legal form and registered office, management persons and their other companies, EU, OFAC and UN sanctions lists, politically exposed persons, AADE and EFKA major debtors, insolvency publications, and the published financial data.
Does it replace Tiresias?
No. Tiresias provides credit data from banks, which is not public. BizList covers the part of due diligence based on public registries, that is identification, representation, sanctions, debts to the State and financial figures.
Can I keep proof of the check?
Yes. Every company profile prints as a report with a date and the source of each data point, so the check is documented in case of an inspection.
How often are the sanctions lists updated?
The EU, OFAC and UN lists are updated daily, together with the rest of the data. With company monitoring you get an alert when something changes in a business on your list.
Does it show a company's creditworthiness?
Not as a score. BizList does not compute a credit score and holds no bank data. It shows the public facts that feed such a judgement: financial statements with revenue and profit per year, debts to the tax and social security authorities from the published large-debtor lists, insolvency and bankruptcy filings, and the public contracts and grants the company has received. The assessment is yours, with the sources in front of you.
What does it cost?
10 euros per month or 100 euros per year, with unlimited searches and checks. The trial is free for 7 days, no card required.
